The basic design includes a graphical presentation of the overall project, visualizations, a preliminary structural analysis, and the main concept of the industrial process and internal installations, including electrical and lighting design.During the basic design phase, project alternatives are examined and evaluated concerning costs and scheduling. Based on a preliminary bill of quantities, cost estimates are calculated using country-specific unit prices. The project is then prepared for permitting, and necessary negotiations with authorities take place. Once the permit design is finalized, construction work tenders are prepared, contractors are invited to submit bids, and bid evaluations, including clarification meetings with applicants, are conducted.
